National Juniors Recap

Once again, it appeared as Hassle-Free Barbell and East Coast Gold had some of the strongest teams and many competitors.  Team MN had a nice group of athletes, many of them quite young – and it looks good for the future as they continue to develop.  Madasyn Hofstedt placed the highest for all women at 6th place in the 75 Kg category, while Alicia Vogel broke a Junior Varsity record in the C&J of 84 Kg, placing 9th in the 75+ category.  For the Men, we had some strong performances, including a 6 for 6 effort by Ben Nhan of Burnsville.  Uli Manznilla and Connor Rousemiller took 4th place in the 69 Kg and 105 Kg categories.  Connor broke a Varsity record in the snatch with a 112 Kg effort as the Men’s Team took 2nd place overall.

– Chris Rousemiller, Lakeville South
